To join or renew, fill out the membership application form.

Membership cycle is two years and begins on January 1 of the year in which the international symposium is held (1 January 2012, 2014, 2016, etc.). Renewal reminder will be sent two months prior to the renewal date and renewal applications will be accepted starting two months in advance.

Membership Benefits of the International Association of Veterinary Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy

IAVRPT is a multidisciplinary nonprofit organization that brings together scientists, educators, clinicians, and policy makers to stimulate and support the study of veterinary rehabilitation and physical therapy, and to translate that knowledge into improved animal rehabilitation worldwide.

Long term objectives

To provide for the association of persons engaged in the practice, teaching, or research in the area of veterinary rehabilitation and physical therapy for the presentation and discussion of items of common interest, to further scientific investigation, and to upgrade the specialty of veterinary rehabilitation and physical therapy in order to provide better patient care based on sound scientific study for the betterment of animal health and well being.

Short term goals

To provide for a website that offers information and a discussion forum on scientific documentation, clinical issues, education, and other items of veterinary rehabilitation and physical therapy interest. To organize the 7th International Symposium on Veterinary Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy 2012.

Membership and fees

Full membership is opened to veterinarians, physical therapists and veterinary technicians with a university or equivalent degree. Associate membership is opened to professionals interested in veterinary rehabilitation. For application and membership fees, visit our website at

International Symposium of Veterinary Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy
